And I say: Hey, what's going on?

So I read all of prescribed reading and at the end of every book I start to wonder what the hell is going on? I understand words, because I speak Polish and I know my language. But in every book is something hidden. I mean if you read 'Dziady' cz.3 you think about these poor people who had to suffer in XIXth century but you don't know that by such a great book Mickiewicz showed his idea about Polish Nation - sacrifice for the other Nations, the idea of Polish as a Savior. I wouldn't know that if I wasn't told by a teacher...
I've read 'Ludzie bezdomni' by Stefan Żeromski and I have no idea why at the end, one of the main characters let go of his fiancée. By the way, I didn't like this book. I'm not keen on Żeromski's creativity. Maybe I'm too dumb to understand it, I won't deny this argument... but it's just my taste and I can't help it. :D

I have to read 'Cudzoziemka' by Maria Kuncewiczwa and I've got a good hunch that I'll like it. ;))
