Kasiulka, you asked about the book by Dean Koontz that I’m reading at the moment. Hm… Maybe thanks to some quotations you will figure it out yourself. Giving you the title would be just too simple to me ;P

There you go:

‘I was young. I am twenty-one and much older than when I was twenty.’

‘I am sustained by the certainty that life has meaning. As does death.’

‘The joys of life can be found anywhere. Far places only offer exotic ways to suffer’.

‘This world, which has potential to be Eden, is instead the hell before Hell. In our arrogance, we have made it so’.

Okay, I know this might not have told you a lot so I’ll add that the main character sees dead people.

Oh, and one important thing. Today I had my first ride on a motor-cycle. It was rather… funny but hard(I’m not a kind of girl which has as much strength as boys do), nevertheless, the instructor told me I did good and I was clever. I hope he didn’t lie to make me feel better! ;D
…I didn’t even fall on the ground… but the next time won’t be that simple! ;P

And, traditionally...

"Apres Moi"

I must go on standing
You can't break that which isn't yours
I, oh, must go on standing
I'm not my own, it's not my choice

[Chorus:]
Be afraid of the lame
They'll inherit your legs
Be afraid of the old
They'll inherit your souls
Be afraid of the cold
They'll inherit your blood
Apres moi, le deluge
After me comes the flood

I must go on standing
You can't break that which isn't yours
I, oh, must go on standing
I'm not my own, it's not my choice

[Chorus x2]

[Russian*:]
Февраль. Достать чернил и плакать!
Писать о феврале навзрыд,
Пока грохочущая слякоть
Весною чёрною горит.
[Repeat]

[Chorus]

I must go on standing
You can't break that which isn't yours
I, oh, must go on standing
I'm not my own, it's not my choice
[Repeat]

[* Words from a poem by Boris Pasternak. English translation:
February. Get ink, shed tears.
Write of it, sob your heart out, sing,
While torrential slush that roars
Burns in the blackness of the spring.]

I read many Dean Koontz' books but 'Forever Odd' no (but i was so close :P) Forever odd is second or third part of 'odd thomas'. Odd thomas is fantastic book.
