Superstition

In my opinion superstitions are irrational. They are not based on reason or knowledge, but a lot of people believes in superstitions and I think that my brother is the best exmple of that kind of person. He thinks that some objects can bring good or bad luck, for example four-leaf clover. For me it is funny because women are usually more influenced by luck charms, superstitions, horoscopes, and to take them seriously. They not only know their own sign of Zodiac, for instance, but also the signs of their parents, children and friends. For me it is rather stupid but on the other hand maybe it makes people feel more self-confident and secure, gives them hope and so on.

Nowadays, everybody uses the Internet. It is very popular and important source of informations. It is very useful in your job, school, home. Thanks to it you can find an information about historical events, about science, and you can use it just to find receipe. There is a lot of site, for example facebook or myspace, when you can keep in touch with your friends. But unfortunatelly, there is also a lot of disadvantages of the Internet. I can say that the Internet is dangerous. More and more people bacome addicted to it, they forget about more important things. They forget about job, about friends, about family. They don't even eat because they don't have a time to it. A lot of young users are addicted. When I was a child my parents organizes an interensting travels to show me beutiful places, I spent a lot of time outdoor with my friends. We were playing football and I think that it was very healthy for me. Now, children spent a lot of time using a computer. They don't do any sports, so that one of most popular ill nowadays is obesity. What is more they can met strangers by the Internet, who can be dangerous. I think that people shouldn't spent so much time using a computer, because the reality should be more important for us- our family, friends, health, job.

It's so fucking annoying when my parents can't stop talking about my exam. Especially my father. I really know that I have to learn because it's my last chance to pass it and he doesn't have to remind me of it every hour. The worst thing is he implies that I failed because I don't learn, I'm always out with my friends and so on but it's not true. Everyday I spend time on learning. The best example is this blog. Additionally I do reading and listening exercises, I learn grammar rules, what else can I do?! I can't learning all day because after few hours I am tired and I can't focus on exercises. I'm almost sure that you know what I mean.
Secondary School Certificate a.k.a. 'Matura'

May is the month when I am very happy that I have some free days but it is also a time when a lot of people take very important exam- secondary school certificate (in Polish 'matura'). I remember when I took it. I was extremely stressed but fortunately the results were satisfactory. Now, I know that there are worse thing that 'matura' (for example my exam in June ;p ). Don't worry guys. Just do your best and everything gonna be alright. I will keep my fingers crossed :)

I have 12 days to write balanced essay on this topic: "Why test cosmetics and drugs on animals when we have so many criminals in prisons?". I've never thought about testing cosmetics in this way. I heard a lot about testing things on animals and I am strongly against it, but what about prisoners? Of course they have human rights but what if they didn't respect the rights of another person? For example murderers or rapists. Why innocent animlas have to suffer? What do you think about it?
