This week is unusually unlucky. I don't know if I'm using right word but today I'm a bit twisted. I had problems with concentration on drive lesson and I made such stupid mistakes. I couldn't focus on words spoken by instructor and yes, I didn't think at all. My instructor have the patience of a saint, I'm convinced.
Have you noticed that interest of Scandinavia is increasing? It's not about the music only. Although there are many bands, everybody listens about Björk, iceland singer who creates electronic music. I haven't listen to her music yet, I know maybe 1-2 her songs. Maybe some of you listen to Sigur Rós (it means rose of victory in English), this band comes from Iceland too. Or do you know Norwegian band Röyksopp? I admit I haven't know this band yet, I have heard about it only but I like Danish singer Oh Land. Her inspiration is Björk so her music is electronic too. She published EP and one album only but it's worth to listen definitely. I like 'White nights' and 'Wolf & I' especially. And I'm writing about it because today I discovered on youtube band called 'iamamiwhoami' (and I have no idea how I should read this name). It's project of Swedish vocalist. She has putted her videos on youtube since 2009 and she is becoming to be popular. She published one album named 'Kin' in 2012. I really like this song, she has so clarion voice and this song seems to be so mysterious like vocalist too.
And I don't want to write about music only. I think interest of Scandinavia is increasing because of literature, too. Most of you watched movie titled 'The girl with the dragon tattoo 'for certain. It is based on the first part of trilogy 'Millenium' created by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson. Have you ever read this series? I haven't but I'm going to read someday. The first part titled 'Mężczyzni, którzy nienawidzą kobiet' was published in 2008 in Poland so I have small tardiness but it is not lost that comes at last ;) Swedish crime stories are becoming to be very popular after succes of 'Millenium'. My friend recommend me other Swedish series written by Camilla Läckberg. She has specific way of writing. She connects present with past. Every story has reason in past. This crime stories grabbed me totally, on this holiday I read four parts and I'm going to read next ;) Main character is Patrik Hedström, policeman who (sometimes with little help from his wife Erica Falck) resolves cases of murders. Author discribes also beautiful landscapes in Sweden. I really like her way of writing and thinking because she shows that upbringing children has huge influence on their further life and it decide how man child will be in future. It's not always like that but I opine that first years are the most important in children evolution. Upbringing must be hard.. But let's get back on the topic, now I'm reading to 'Syrenka', but maybe someday I'll write something more because this note is probably too long now ;)
