Black hawk down

I've watched movie called " Black hawk down " yesterday. I'm sure many of you have seen it too. It's definetely worth watching. The movie is about the best schooled and skilled american soldiers who got a big troubles in Mogadishu.

Everything started because of somalian warlord. He was seizing most of international food deliveries so he had a power. Hunger was his weapon therefore President of United states sent there a huge army of over 20 thousands soldiers. The command appointed and ordered 120 Delta Force and Ranger soldiers to do a mission in which they had to apprehend warlord's people mount them up on the trucks and take back to the base. The mission was supposed to take 1 hours unfortunately it took over 15. Everything was going as planned until one of the Choppers sent to unload the soldiers was shot and crashed few kilometers away from the extraction point. As the main title of movie's say " Leave no man behind " American Delta force went to check if anyone survived. Too bad another chopper that went to the crash point got his rotor damaged which affected in the next helicopter crash few kilometers further. Most of the soldiers were moving in a convoy with humvees and trucks. They were under heavy fire of furious somalians. Roads were blocked so they couldn't find the way back. After some time when the cars could barely move they were ordered to move on feet. They were fighting against entire city but in the end they managed to get to the stadium where trucks and armoured vehicles were already waiting for them. During the raid 19 american soldiers died and 73 were injured. None left the city without a wound. If compare american losses to somalian's about 1000 dead and wounded including children and women it's so few. But that just proved that the newest technology and well skilled soldiers can't win every battle. The movie ends with kinda touching scene. Delta's leader is talking to his dead mate which told him when he was still alive before the action in Mogadishu to tell his parents that he fought well in case he dies. I'll quote those words:

" You know a friend of mine asked me before I got here; it's when we were all shipping out. He asked me "Why are you going to fight somebody else's war? What, do you think you're heroes?" I didn't know what to say at the time, but if he'd ask me again I'd say no. I'd say there's not way in hell. Nobody asks to be a hero. It just sometimes turns out that way. "

That is just sad how easily people die everyday on many places on the earth.

By the way I love this weather it is so predictable lately. It has been raining for a month so far so if you want to know the weather for tomorrow you dont even need to look at some weather prognosis because it's gonna be the same anyhow.
