As far as I remember I have always liked documentaries regarding music. Last night I watched an amazing story about a man who sold only 6 records of his first album in the U.S. and millions of them in South Africa.
In America almost nobody knows him as a muscian. In South Africa he is an icon, a music voice for few genarations.
In his homeland people know him as a hard labour worker who leads a modest life. In Cape Town and Johannesburg he is more popular than The Rolling Stones.
How come that a humble guy from the suburbs of Detroit has become a big star in the other part of our planet?
What really happend with Sugar Man? Is that true that he committed suicide on te stage at the end of his last performance?
