Hi everyone! In a few hours most of us can scream at the top of our lungs: Thank God it is Friday! Just in case, if you don't know this acronym, I will tell you that TGIF stands for Thank God it's Friday. What about screaming at the top of one's lungs?
Hello! I haven't been here for a while. Have you missed me? Don't be too shy to admit it! Come on...O.K. Enough of these bollocks... As you see I am up. I have always thought that I am not a morning person but this morning says something else. I woke up bright and early and went riding my bike.
So, when I rode my bike I was listening to some good music, for instance, a song by Nina Siomone
Enjoy watching, listening and practicing your English. Have a good one!
Hello! How have you been? I hope you are fine. Just now I found a video clip on YouTube so I would like to share it with you. By the way it's a good opportunity to repeat some English words and pharses. But first things first, and here we go with the clip.
It's worth remembering the word "prank" and expression "play a prank on sb".
First of all, I'd like to thank you for the nice comment I got few days ago. Unfortunetly I deleted it, because I was rewriting the last post. I don't know why but last time I had some difficulties with posting links to youtube on my blog. Anyway, thank you for the comment. Today it will be about money. For me, money is a really strange concept but like you, I have to deal with it on a daily basis.
As we know, money is the root of all evil. money=evil
When somebody has a lot of money is called loaded or fat cat. When you don't have a penny you are broke or flat broke. If you made a lot of money it's called "to make a killing". Even though you work hard and you have enough money to pay the rent, bills, mortgage and food you can say that you make ends meet.
When you can't afford to pay for basic things you can say: "Since I lost my job I have had to live hand to mouth ".
Have you ever bought something really expensive? A house, a car, ...You should be familiar with this expressions:

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Let me introduce to you - Alison Goldfrap.
If you are still here I think you are freaky and I like you a lot. :)
It's the right time for chill out.
O.K. It's getting really late so I am going to post last song and go to bed.
If you can fall asleep after the last song I will be happy to tell you: Sleep tight!
Good morning! How did you sleep last night? Did you get enough sleep? I hope you are rested. Today I would like to focus on the word "irony". In my opinion the song by Alanis Morissete is one of the best way to comprenhend this subject.
Enjoy listening it! Let me single out one of the English expression from this song.
